Our Story
Who We Are
Dreambuilder Exchange represents the coming together of two powerful legacies of community service in Maryland. Born from the 2023 merger of Young Women of Distinction (founded 2009) and Hip Hop Education (founded 2006), we unite over 17 years of proven impact into one dynamic organization.
What started as two separate missions to serve Maryland's youth has evolved into a comprehensive nonprofit empowering both young people and adults across the state. We believe that when individuals thrive, entire communities rise. Our approach blends practical skill-building with leadership development and genuine community connection.
Today, we stand as a testament to what's possible when passionate leaders join forces. Together, we're not just building programs—we're building dreamers into doers, and communities into powerhouses of opportunity.

Dreambuilder Exchange exists because two remarkable women saw a need and dedicated their lives to meeting it. Their individual journeys created ripples of change across Southern Maryland—and now, united, they're creating waves of transformation statewide.
Stefanie Magness
President
For over a decade, Stefanie championed young women across Southern Maryland, creating pathways to leadership and self-confidence. Her vision of empowering the next generation of female leaders has touched countless lives, helping young women discover their voices and potential.
Sabrina Wiggins
Vice President
Sabrina pioneered an innovative approach to youth development, harnessing the power of hip hop culture to teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. Her groundbreaking work proved that education meets young people where they are—and transforms lives in the process.
Together, Stefanie and Sabrina bring complementary strengths, shared values, and an unwavering commitment to community. Their merger created something greater than the sum of its parts—a organization that serves everyone seeking to build a better future.
